Dr. Günther Tappeiner is a Sector Advisor at PINOVA and supports the PINOVA team, particularly in the area of Innovative Materials. With over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, Dr. Tappeiner adds extensive expertise in production, sales and R&D of chemicals.
From 2018 to 2024 Dr. Tappeiner led Deurowood GmbH, a former portfolio company of PINOVA, initially as Head of Sales & New Business and from 2019 as Managing Director. In this role he was significantly involved in M&A activities, including the sale to Freudenberg Chemical Specialities in April 2021 and the acquisition of an Italian competitor in September 2023.
Prior to that Dr. Tappeiner held various leadership positions at Reichhold Chemicals, with headquarter in the US from 2009 to 2017 and worked at Agrolinz Melamine International in Austria from 2001 to 2009. He began his career at PCD – Polymers and also served as an assistant at the University of Innsbruck.
Dr. Tappeiner earned both his diploma and his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Innsbruck.
