Responsibilities
As an Associate, you are part of our investment team and work along the entire investment value chain
- Deal sourcing: developing our own sourcing network and topic-related deal flow generation
- Deal structuring: preparing financing models, managing acquisition financing partners
- Due diligence: coordinating external due diligence providers, conducting referencecalls with clients, analysts and industry experts
- Portfolio management: preparation and participation in strategy workshops, close exchange with management and support with reporting, management of specific portfolio projects (e.g. buy-and-build)
Requirements
- Successfully completed Master's degree in engineering, natural sciences or business administration at a renowned university or comparable qualification
- Several years (min. 2 years) of professional experience, e.g. in management consulting, corporate strategy/development, private equity or investment banking
- Understanding of financial models, due diligence processes and investment decisions
- Experience in handling financial data and the ability to create and interpret complex analyses
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint as well as experience with relevant financial tools (e.g. Bloomberg)
- Excellent communication & presentation skills in German and English
- Technical interest and the ability to understand complex interrelationships
- Entrepreneurial thinking combined with the ability to take responsibility for initial (sub-)projects
- High social competence, empathy and assertiveness as well as a solution-oriented and proactive working style
